Pit Biking in the UK

Pit biking its self orginated from the US, being used in the pits for racing personel to scoot around quickly, hence the name pit bike, then later on the famous Honda CRF50 found its self being trashed about in "back yard racing" where MX riders played around in there back garden when not out on there larger bikes, before you knew it pit biking turned into a world wide phenomena with pit bike compaines popping up in every country, the most world wide known are the pitster, thumpstar (aka terra moto), x-sport, monster moto and many more, with this also came the huge amounts of knock offs mass produced in China factories.

After a few years passed the UK started to really take in the sport, with official races being held, in all area's of pit biking, ie, Supermoto, Enduro ect, but with alot of people green laning or just riding on local streets / forests a surge of complaints soon flew regarding illegal riding of bikes, this was a major crackdown for the sport with the law crushing bikes at their own will, but there was a silver lining, more people started riding legally, which funded the sport and made it grow into what it is today.
