Pit Biking in the UK

Pit biking its self orginated from the US, being used in the pits for racing personel to scoot around quickly, hence the name pit bike. Later on the famous Honda CRF50 found its self being trashed about in "back yard racing" where MX riders played around in there back garden when they weren't out practicing. Before you knew it pit biking turned into a world wide phenomena with pit bike companies popping up in every country such as Pitster Pro, Thumpstar, Xsport and Monster Moto. With these also came the huge amounts of knock off bikes mass produced in China.

After a few years passed the UK started to really take in the sport with official races being held in all areas of pit biking ie. Supermoto, Enduro ect, but with alot of people green laning or just riding on local streets / forests a surge of complaints soon flew regarding illegal riding of bikes. This was a major crackdown for the sport with the law crushing bikes at their own will and is still a huge concern in the pit biking community to this day. Nevertheless, minibiking is becoming more and more popular every year with new enthusiasts helping to boost the sport further to turn minibiking into a world wide sport that is recognised all over.
